| / OM OSS Vi är Kristina Lindström och Åsa Ståhl. Vi har arbetat tillsammans sedan 2003. Det började med att vi pendlade mellan boende i Malmö och arbete på Sveriges Television respektive Sveriges Radio i Växjö. I bilen längs med vägar utan uppkoppling och dålig radiomottagning började vi skissa på idéer. Vi anställdes på the Interactive Institute och gjorde vårt första gemensamma projekt i samarbete med Växjö konsthall: en visklek på telefonsvarare. Sedan har vi fortsatt samarbeta med varandra och diverse andra aktörer. 2008 blev vi antagna som doktorander på Malmö högskola. Trådar – en mobil syjunta som vi gör i samarbete med Riksuutställningar, Bygdegårdarnas Riksförbund, Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan, Vi unga och Malmö högskola utgör en stor del av det material som vi arbetar med i avhandlingen. Papers kan du läsa här. / ABOUT In this project we, artists and doctoral students Kristina Lindström and Åsa Ståhl, are asking inhabitants in Kiruna with surroundings in the northern parts of Sweden to let us work with their discarded mobile phones. We will unravel and repeat the information and the technology that we find in the mobile phones. Inspired by those who went from homes to homes to collect wool while at the same time becoming carrier of information, we intend to work as contemporary re-users of material. The attention to material is connected to the work we do in the sewing circle where we invite participants to embroider SMS. The travelling and moving is kin with Omvägar i ljud, Ljudstråk and Bike Circuit and the entanglement with the specificities of the surroundings where we work runs as a thread throughout all of our projects. |
